We get questions asking what are the differences between Grade A MCCs to Grade B to Grade C. We hope the examples below help you understand the differences..
GRADE A- to B+
This Tech had almost everything to mint except the back right corner. Tone arm, platter, switches, etc in mint condition so we will consider this an A- or B+ even though of the small scratch in the back.
GRADE A
No noticeable scratches and nicks.
GRADE A
Platter, and case perfect. Lights are all serviced as well if they are not working.
GRADE A
No issues or noticeable surface scratches, platter perfect! Lights will always be checked or serviced
GRADE A- to B+
All that found on this TT was a small scratch on the back left corner, making this a B+ to close to A grade. Tone arm and case perfect.
GRADE A
This model would be a Grade A. You do see a small surface scratch on the corner (front right) but asides from that, it’s been used by a non DJ and kept in pristine conditions.
GRADE A
Asides from Cartridge, Headshell and Adapter (all not included). This model is a Grade A with no or minimal surface scratches. Probably a Hi-Fi user, not a DJ…for DJs, something we would prefer :)
GRADE A- to B+
GRADE C
Due to paint and bubbling. Damage also found on this one. The rest operates and runs fine to regular Spec.
GRADE C
Deep scratches and damage to edge of the body. However, the rest is in fine condition and performs just perfect.
NOTE:
Some tone arms on C’s may have a very small dent. If audio and performance is not affected, it is not replaced. It will only be replaced if tonearm damage is severe and affects audio and performance.
GRADE C
Body and tone arm in good condition. Some scratches found on body and corner. Since you can feel the scratches and some depth to them, we would bring this to a C level
NOTE:
Some tone arms on C’s may have a very small dent. If audio and performance is not affected, it is not replaced.
It will only be replaced if tonearm damage is severe and affects audio and performance.
GRADE B to C
Case of the body is in Good condition, however due to some paint fade and abrasions this is a B and if any more scratches we would drop it to a C.
NOTE:
Some tone arms on C’s may have a very small dent. If audio and performance is not affected, it is not replaced.
It will only be replaced if tonearm damage is severe and affects audio and performance.
